“You’ll be his first kiss, his first love, his first friend. You are his mama and he is your whole wide world. He is your little boy.”

There is a sign in Arthur’s room with these words on it. His newborn session was so peaceful and sweet, he was completely content in the arms of his mom and dad. Ellen and Kyle’s home is beautiful and light-filled and I loved all of the unique touches they had in his nursery, including a beautiful mobile with wooden ships.

I didn’t realize this going into the session but for his mom & dad, Arthur is ‘the light at the end of a dark tunnel’ after a season of infertility. To paraphrase his mom Ellen’s words: he was in their hearts and dreams for a long time and now he is finally in their arms. Their story gives these images significant weight & meaning; they are redemptive. Enjoy ✨
