Oh my goodness. These two 😍

Anna is one of my oldest and dearest friends (we’ve known each other since middle school) and she just recently got engaged to her high school sweetheart Mike. When her sister Madeline told David and I about the proposal, I was soo excited for her! Anna is super perceptive and thus reallyyy hard to surprise but Mike had it all planned out…with the help of her sister of course 😉

Mike and I met in the morning on the day of the proposal to figure out the best spot for photos. He had set out a picnic blanket, a bottle of champagne and photo album filled with pictures of the two of them from the past nine years. He told me he was going to get down on one knee and ask Anna to be his wife in the same place he had asked her to be his girlfriend nine years ago 🖤

I came back later that afternoon, hid behind the grill on his back patio and waited until he had gotten down on one knee and said “Anna Maria Gelis….”

Anna was SO cute and shocked and (after she said yes) exclaimed: “I KNEW you were going to do it today!” 😂

They celebrated with champagne flutes and we took some of the sweetest photos ever (both Anna and Mike could not stop smiling) 😍

Later on we gathered together at Anna’s house to eat cake and celebrate with their family and friends. It was a beautiful engagement and it brought me so much joy to capture it! Enjoy 💫
